The TWIC deadline for the Port of New York and New Jersey is March 23, 2009. Truck drivers without a TWIC or a receipt validated by the Port Authority* will not be allowed to enter the terminals. There will be no exceptions and no escorted service. Drivers also need an active SeaLink card.

We well like to take this opportunity to remind you that the TWIC deadline for The Port of NY and NJ is March 23, 2009. After that date, truck drivers without TWIC will not be allowed to enter the terminals, and there will be no escorted service. By our estimations, if you have not applied for a TWIC yet, you will need to do so by February 15, 2009 in order to receive it before The Port of NY & NJ compliance date. TWIC NOTICE FOR ALL OUR MEMBERS

N  O  T   I  C  E

Monday January 12, 2009, all truck drivers must have a valid Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) in order to conduct all SeaLink transactions including:
o Registering with SeaLink for the first time;
o Being added to another company's roster;
o Making address or other data changes.
Drivers must also register their TWIC with the Port Authority by March 15, 2009 in order to gain access to all Port of New York and Ne
